A small, honest experiment
We believe the first step into making music can be a light one. Synth Lab brings rhythm, texture, and fictional stories together so you can hear what one small adjustment changes. You do not need to know what a filter is. A feeling is a perfectly good place to start.
How it works
Audio is generated with the Web Audio API and played through a reusable native browser player. Scenes choose patterns, moods choose scales, and four sliders adjust timing, sustained notes, tonal brightness, and percussion. Stories combine authored templates; soundscape covers use credited real-world photography. The experience uses no cloud AI, external recordings, or tracking scripts.
Deliberate limits
This is a short-loop music demonstration, not a commercial music licensing service. It has no accounts, fake downloads, or paid unlocks. Favorites exist only in the current browser. Our field notes explain the controls and creative process, so there is something useful to take away from the experiment.
Content & creative process
Synth Lab Editorial is the publishing credit for this site’s content. Our sound guide explains the studio’s actual controls, musical structure, and ways to compare what you hear. “Psychedelic chill & soft beats” is used as an editorial sound description.
The channel’s 40 sound stories are fictional narratives created for the individual soundscapes. They are separate from the studio stories assembled from scene, mood, and seed. Their characters and events are not presented as factual reporting, and the photographs set the atmosphere rather than document those events.
Music is generated by this site’s rule-based composition and audio synthesis code. Recipe settings and seeds reproduce musical events; device audio implementations can introduce small differences. Listening suggestions do not promise health outcomes or grant commercial clearance.
